I am an Artist living and working in Ipswich, Suffolk.
I have been doodling since my early childhood. I have had a variety of jobs that required no artistic ability at all.
I have realised after years of dabbling with art in my spare time that I am only truly happy when creating.
I was fortunate enough to retire early. I am now almost fully employed creating and looking after two highly demanding cats that feature in my work on occasion.
The cats are allowed to visit my shed/studio, but not whilst I ‘m printing, cat hairs and oil- based ink don’t mix. They have cardboard boxes outside the studio door to ensure my moments can be tracked at all times.
I have been selling my art off and on for 30 plus years and had the odd piece of work published.
During lock-down I started learning hand screen printing and after many failures and the odd success I then revisited block printing with lino.
A chance meeting and chat with a wonderful printmaker in 2023 inspired me to invest in better tools, ink, and paper and explore Reduction lino printing more seriously.
As I print everything by hand (rubbing the back of the paper over the top of the lino using a bamboo baren or wooden spoon) I only do a small number of prints in each edition.
I try not to follow any particular trend. I only work from my own drawings and illustrations that are influenced from things I see or imagine.

you're designs are always perfect for the person/occasion i describe and the cards are so much more personal than just buying a card from a shop.
